STUDENT METEOROLOGISTS

Working with their classroom teachers, students collect and analyze weather data. These student meteorologists then present a weather report and forecast each day at breakfast and dinner!

Each cabin and lodge takes a turn at the weather station, where their classroom teachers give a lesson on meteorology.

The students record data on temperature, daily highs and lows, wind speed and direction, relative humidity, barometric pressure, cloud types, and precipitation.
Based on this data, the student meteorologists then read the weather forecast to the rest of the school during a meal.

At Outdoor Science School, we begin every morning by singing great science songs.
Keep going on the tour to check it out!
