Los Angeles County Outdoor Science School
at Wrightwood

OUR OUTDOOR CLASSROOM

Lessons and homework are different at Outdoor Science School...

Each day, students meet with their Naturalist and spend the day hiking, learning, and playing games. Check out some photos of students at work (and having fun) outside!

Learning under the beautiful
Black Oaks...
(Oh Baby!)

Hiking the mountain trails can sometimes be hard work, but the beautiful view from the top is worth it!

Journals are used for field study,
recording data, writing and
drawing as well.

It's okay to get dirty at Outdoor Science School. In fact,
it's a good thing!

If it's the right time of year, students may even get a chance to go birdwatching! Keep going to find out more...
